Dr. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Delgado finished his Bachelor`s degree in Chemistry in 1986 at the University of La Laguna (ULL) obtaining the Extraordinary Prize upon graduation in Bachelor´s degree in Chemistry and the Best Records Award. In 1994 finished his thesis in Chemistry achieving the Extraordinary Prize given by the ULL.
Since 2012 he is Full Professor at the Department of Chemistry at the ULL. Currently is the head of the research group AQAIMPA. He has published more than 120 scientific articles in different ISI journals with high impact factor, including more than 30 at the prestigious Journal of Chromatography A, and 16 books chapters in editorials such as Elsevier; John Wiley & Sons or Springer. In addition, he has presented 150 communications in national and international conferences with a wide research experience in collaboration with different international groups. He usually participates as a reviewer in more than 25 journals at the JCR and also for the evaluation of national and European projects. Along his extent career he has received several awards. His h index is 40 at the ISI Web of Sciences (41 by the Scopus database).
Dr. Rodríguez Delgado has started different research lines focused on the analysis of pesticides, antioxidants, antibiotics, estrogens and plastic migrants, among others in several types of environmental and agri-food samples using sustainable methodologies based on the application of advances analytical techniques supported by the principles of Green chemistry. He has been PI of different national and international projects. Currently he is the responsible of the Agri-food Techniques Service at the SEGAI (ULL). It should be highlighted that Prof. Rodríguez Delgado has an extent experience on the supervision of PhD thesis which have got several awards, as well as numerous master and bachelor degree projects at the ULL.
